Santa Margherita is just a short drive from Genoa Airport and close to the A10 Motorway (Autostrada dei Fiori) that runs across the whole of the Riviera and connects seamlessly with the A8 out of France. The resort is next to the more famous Portofino that is pretty but can be very touristy. Have stayed in both but would say Santa Margherita is the prettier resort and our favorite place on the Italian Riviera.
There are many lovely hotels close to the beach but would highly recommend the Imperiale Palace where we have stayed many times. Beautiful location and superb service. Interested then why not:
